Stress and anxiety for a Christian can take on many different shapes and forms, yet in general, for most Christians, stress boils down to one idea - lack of trust in God .

The bible study in Saginaw that I have been fortunate enough to be able to lead has reached it's seventh week. It is only an eight week study, and there are so many mixed emotions concerning the impending end to the wonderful STUCK study by Jennie Allen .  Throughout the last seven weeks, I have been privileged to be witness to so many wonderful changes in the lives of the women that made their commitment to changing their lives through God. I have enjoyed, and learned so much from these women in the last seven weeks. There is one lady in particular I want to share about. This woman, seven weeks ago was a shell of  a person. Her opinion of herself being so extremely low that she could not even look up from the ground, let alone in the eyes of somebody who cared for her. She was so insecure and scared. As I have mentioned, I have been working very closely with a foundation in Uganda to make an impact in the lives of those stricken by poverty. I have been working on a blog, trying to help bring awareness to the Sanyu Foundation Uganda so they can gain the support needed to do what is needed in the communities of the District of Rakai. I wanted to share a link to the latest update with the Sanyu Foundation Uganda. New and wonderful things are happening in the Kooki County area. these women have claimed a special spot in my heart. This entire program has! I am also working on making these beads and creating jewelry in support of this program to build a maternity center. This is where I finally found my opportunity to work closely with the women of Uganda, never leaving my own home. I get to help make a difference, it is so exciting, and I pray to the good Lord above to take favor on this program, help it to grow and succeed! My life has been so crazy lately. The thing is becoming a christian is hard. Nobody ever said changing one's entire way of life is. Not that I know of anyway. Ever since opening my life to the Lord there have been so many attacks. Not physical in any sense of the word, but the emotional, psychological, and spiritual attacks are most definitely in abundance. Satan is losing a longtime hopeful companion of his, and I can sense he is not happy about it. I had been doing his bidding for years through self-indulgence, gluttony, drug use, self-pity, and more. Now, I just want the Lord. All the time I just want more. It is how they say, once you open your heart, the thirst becomes so great! It's not a suffering type of thirst as in the desert with no water, it is an intense craving though, that is impossible to completely fill. There is always more of God.
