Looking Up!
I had a revelation about my own spriritual health and well being while my neck was aching and grinding and popping, and I was whining in self pity and groaning in pain asking the Lord "Why does it hurt this much? What did I do to deserve all this pain?"
That is when it hit me! In all the times of my life that satan has crept in and created chaos and confusion in my life, I have looked to the ground, searching my own mind for the resolution--the answer.
I have hung my head in shame, guilt, confusion, remoarse, and self-pity when I should have been looking up. Up to the Lord my God for the answers. God has put a burning straight into my neck to tell me "Kimberly,what are you doing looking to the ground for the answers. Don't you know already? Look to me my child. I am the way!"
In John 14:6 Jesus says, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the father, except through me."
How reassuring it is to know that while I am a sinner by nature, but I have the loving grace of Jesus Christ, who has died for me and therefore paid for all my sins to guarantee me a place in the Kingdom of heaven.
I have spent my life worrying when in Matthew 6:25 Jesus says: "Therefore I tell you do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body or what you will wear. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothes?"
Having enveloped myself in the word so much in the past few months I am learning to rely on the one who is there for me. The one who loves me. The one that has loved me since he created this world.
He has loved me from the beginning of time and has said I am a predestined daughter of the king. One verse that gives me great comfort in times when things are going so wrong and seem so very hard is from Ephesian 1:11; In him we were also chosen having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will.
so he says;
LOOK UP KIMBERLY! GIVE ME YOUR WORRIES AND FIND YOUR PEACE!
