The Path To Salvation

I know for me to just sit down and find the passages in the bible that explain it all seemed ultimately impossible, especially in the very beginning. I went to a very special conference at my local church given by Ken Ramey. It was so great how he laid it all out for me. Now I will share that same plan with you.

When we are at the beginning, most of us don't know where to start. We feel alone, and intimidated. The bible can be just so confusing. First I want you to know that you are not alone. We are all children of God, and he is with us ever step of the journey. We become more aware of that as we allow the Word of God to open our eyes and our hearts.

I am also with you for this journey, every step of the way. If you have any questions please just comment below or send me an email and I will gladly answer any questions you may have. If I don't have an answer, I will get it for you. So, come with me and lets get to know our everlasting God together!

We are going to take a journey, a journey throught the bible that will change our lives forever. I want you to pull out your favorite bible, a pen and come along with me as we explore the wonderful Path of Salvation. It is all right there...if we know where to look.

As we take this journey will will be leaving a trail of verses behind. This trail is to lead you through the path any time you want when you just open your bible, but really I want you to share it. Share this wonderful way of tracking the Path of Salvation and help others searching for that missing something find the wholeness of God.

I will lay it out like this; the verses titles will be in bold blue, all verses will be in red (this does not indicate Jesus himself speaking in all verses, just for convenience), this I will then follow up with my own personal interpertation of the verse in black. I hope it will make it for an easy path to take.

 First let's start by opening our bibles to the inside of the cover I want you to write down John 3:7

Now we can turn to that verse in our bible, I prefer the New International Version so yours may vary a bit, but it's all the same in context. It reads:

"You should not be surprised at my saying, You must be born again''

Here we are learning that we must begin new, create a new life of righteousness leaving behind our sinful nature.

In the margin next to that verse write down Romans 3:23 and now turn to it. (get the gist?)

For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

This explains itself, and it is so true. There is nobody that can say they have truly never sinned. Those of us that do, are deceiving ourselves.

Write in the margin, Romans 6:23

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

This spells it out very clear...if we continue our lives of sin...we die! It's that simple. Or we could love and believe in the Lord that loved us and died so we could live.

Write in the margin, Hebrews 9:27

Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgement.

Once we die, we are to face God in judgement, that is when he will judge if we have believed in his son or not. We must believe here on earth before we come before our maker

Write in the margin, Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us


He knew we would continue to sin, continuously turning our backs on him to satisfy our own fleshly desires, and yet he loved us so unconditionally he died on a cross for our salvation. Amen!

Write in the margin, Ephesians 2:8-9
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast.

Christ died on the cross to pay for our sins and to become our way to the kingdom of heaven. He is the only way, there is nothing we can do that will ever be "good" enough in this world to get us a guaranteed ticket to the right hand of God. The only way to gain the golden ticket is to believe with our whole heart that Jesus loved us and Jesus died so that we may live for eternity with him in heaven.

Write in the margin John 3:16

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life

That's it! It's that easy! The path could stop right here this is just such a powerful verse. Could you do it? Could you give your only child so that the world could live. What an act of love. That is the greatest form of love.

Write in the margin Romans 10:9-10

If you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess faith and are saved.

It is not enough to keep believing in Jesus hidden, He commands us to profess our faith in him. We should claim his name in all we do. We should honor him in prayer.

Write in the margin Romans 10:13 almost done!

For, Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

All you have to do is ask, ask the Lord to come into your heart, ask him for forgiveness, he will not forsake you!

ASSURANCE

1 John 5:13-15

I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him

Bring all our troubles to the lord in complete faith he is listening and he will answer according to his will.

Heavenly Father,
I come to you in prayer asking for the forgiveness of my sins. I confess with my mouth and believe with my heart that Jesus is your Son, and that he did on the Cross at Calvary, that I might be forgiven and have Eternal Life in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Father, I believe that Jesus rose from the dead and I ask you right now to come in to my life and be my personal Lord and Savior. i repent of my sins and will worship you all the days of my Life! Because your word is truth, I confess with my mouth that I am Born Again and Cleansed by the Blood of Jesus!
